This is part of the PDBA's grassroots development program that aims to establish dodgeball PE classes by:

  1. Giving seminars to PE teachers and coaches so they can know the ins and outs of the sport. This includes a certificate of completion
  2. Equipt PE departments with officially approved Dodgeballs.
  3. Holding campus wide introductory dodgeball games to create awareness about the sport amongst students.

Based our now extensive experience, the PDBA is more convinced ever that dodgeball is an ideal addition to the PE curriculum.

History

Since the PDBA began in 2006, we have been actively promoting the sport of dodgeball in schools. Unfortunately during that time, nobody had really heard about dodgeball much less how to play it so we had our work cut out for us starting from scratch.

One of our greatest concerns was how to minimize the cost of giving seminars, dodgeballs, and games to the teachers and students, but through the grace of our Lord we ave found partners who have been willing to help us meet the demand for dodgeball in schools.

Going Mainstream

It has been 5 years since we set out to promote and develop dodgeball and out of sheer hard work, determination, and personal expense, we've taken dodgeball to a point where people are beginning to take notice and even want to play dodgeball on their own!

Present State

To date the Dodgeball for PE program has trained and certified some 207 PE teachers and with more free dodgeball seminars and clinics underway this number will continue to grow.

We have also been able to promote dodgeball or donate equipment to the major schools and univerisites where the sport is now being played as either a part of their PE curriculum or student play the sport on their own initiative. Some universities of note are:

  1. University of Sto. Tomas
  2. Polytechnic University of the Philippines
  3. Mapua Institute of Tecnology
  4. Miriam College
  5. University of the Pilippines, Diliman
  6. University of the East
  7. Ateneo De Manila University
  8. College of St. Benilde, Taft
  9. De La Salle University, Taft
  10. University of Asia and the Pacific
  11. La Consolacion College, Manila
  12. Arellano University, Legarda
Future Direction

The PDBA has a lot of exciting plans, a lot, and they're all feasible and possible thanks to the friends we've made along the way!

Support the Dodgeball for PE Program

There are so many ways you can support or get involved in the Dodgeball for PE program:

  1. Support your School

Alumni and Socio-Civic action, student orgs, and other interest groups wo would like to bring dodgeball to their school are invited to get in touch with us. For a minimum amount you can provide and equipt schools to conduct dodgeball PE classes! We just have to cover the cost of balls, certificates and other exenses!

  2. Sponsor the dodgeball for PE program

Corporate sponsors and companies with CSR activities are more than welcome to work with us and sponsor the dodgeball for PE program of schools. This is also an opportunity to:

    1. Give back to the community
    2. Contribute a positive activity that will impact the health and wellbeing of countless students for years to come
    3. Increase your Brand recognition
    4. Further improve your Community Image

Teachers in the Philippines have it hard, this is why the PDBA refrains from directly charging teachers who would like to get to learn about the potential of teaching dodgeball as a PE class. Let's send some love to our teachers who dedicate their lives to guiding our youth! Lets treat them to more free dodgeball seminars!

  3. Advisory to schools

It has come to our attention that there is a rise in the number of reports about individuals and groups who are trying to jump on the dodgeball bandwagon for their own personal profits. Because reports say that these people claim a connection, affiliation or even lead people into believing they are PDBA officers, we urge everyone to kindly communicate directly with official PDBA officers to avoid being misled.
