Here we are at last... the 1st Philippine Dodgeball Championship is set for Sat, Dec 1, 2007 at clubsixfifty... the place where it all began.

As of Wednesday, Nov 28 the Signup will begin at 1pm and NOT 9am, due to some conflict in court schedules. We understand some teams can't make it because of exams but we can't hold this off any longer. Our POT is not so big so this is a winner take all tournament. Prizes are in kind, 9 cases of Pocari Drinks, Bags and other stuff from the PNOC, and a Trophy. Looks like there won't be any more prizes coming in so, goodluck to everyone and hope we have good weather by then. See you all there!

There will be 2 divisions:

1. OPEN aka Amateur Division -

The OPEN division is open to all teams, except top teams/professional teams from other Dodgeball Organizations.

Teams/Players qualified to join the CHAMPIONSHIP division may join the OPEN but They must compete in the CHAMPIONSHIP division as well. Also, they may not miss out or default in any of their CHAMPIONSHIP games. Doing so will result in disqualification from the OPEN.

2. Championship Division

The CHAMPIONSHIP division is only open to teams with a rating of at least 15 or teams who have finished 1st, 2nd or 3rd place in any of our dodgeball events can enter the CHAMPIONSHIP division. We expect the teams who enter in this division to be familiar with the rules by now.

We will be holding a BLIND BALLOT VOTE to see if we will impose a 5 second or 10 second "No Throw" penalty. The penalty for either one is your opponents getting possesion of all balls. We will have 1 timekeeper/team whose sole duty is to monitor their assigned team. The timekeeper has full authority over calling the "No Throw" of their assigned team. Their calling of a "No throw" is 100% INDISPUTABLE and final.

Format:

CO-ED - 6-10 members/team. Maximum of 5 Male and 5 Female players/Team. Large teams qualified for the CHAMPIONSHIP may split into 2.

Entrance fee:

50 pesos/player for both divisions :-)
